UOL Sport have reported speculation from newspaper Extra that Neymar has split up with girlfriend Bruna Marquezine but the pair haven’t officially announced the news to the public yet.
Initial reports occurred during December which stated that the Barcelona forward and the 18-year-old actress had split, however Extra claimed they didn’t confirm this because they have a joint advertising contract.
Marquezine has dodged any questions on Neymar from reporters but she may be forced to talk about the subject soon as she has been romantically linked with another Brazilian footballer.
Mattheus Oliveira is the player in question; the Flamengo midfielder apparently met Marquezine through mutual friends and they celebrated the New Year together in Brazil.
Mattheus isn’t just famous for his footballing skills but his family ties, as his father is former Brazil international Bebeto, who famously celebrated his son’s birth during the 1994 World Cup with the ‘cradle-rocking’ celebration.
Extra believe that Mattheus has introduced his new girlfriend to his father and all that remains now for the relationship to be made public is for Neymar and Marquezine to official confirm their split.
Until that happens though speculation will be rife and we’ll see what happens with this love triangle involving one Brazil superstar and another famous son.
