Former Internacional striker, Gilberto, has today been announced as a Toronto FC player.
The striker moves to Canada after impressing during his time at Internacional, and during his loan move to Portuguesa this season.
“I’m coming to a very good side,” he told the Toronto Star.
“I also appreciate the quality of life here. And I want to open a new market in Major League Soccer for Brazilians. The primary job is to win titles.”
The deal is reported to be £2.5 million for the 24 year old, who scored 14 goals on his loan spell this year.
