Three Brazilian defenders have been nominated for the UEFA team of year as the year comes to end.
Three Seleção defenders in the shape of, Dante, Thiago Silva and Filipe Luis have been included in the nominees for the UEFA team of the year after impressing for their teams this year.
Thiago Silva has won the French League with PSG this season, impressing for his club and being handed the captaincy alongside fellow Brazilian, Alex, at the back for Paris Saint German.
Dante, who has been heavily involved in Bayern Munich’s treble winning side last season is one man that should be in the side after being the heart of the back four for the Bavarian’s, and also receiving a Seleção call up due to his performances.
Atlético Madrid full back, Filipe Luis, is also included the selected nominees after impressing in Spain with Atlético, after joining the Spanish side in 2010.
