Having seen off South Korea on Saturday, Brazil head coach Luiz Felipe Scolari will make a number of alterations for Tuesday’s tie with Zambia.

Lucas Leiva and Ramires, who featured as substitutes in Seoul, are expected to come in for Luiz Gustavo and Chelsea’s Oscar.

Former Liverpool stopper Diego Cavalieri will replace Jefferson, who was largely untested against Korea, in goal.

Lucas Moura, Dedé, Maxwell and Alexandre Pato will also start, with only Daniel Alves, David Luiz, Paulinho and Neymar retaining their place.

For Lucas Leiva, it is an opportunity to stake his claim for the defensive midfield role alongside Paulinho. The 26 year-old’s cameo in the 2-0 win against South Korea was his first in over a year for the Seleção, with injuries limiting his involvement at Liverpool last season.

His namesake, Lucas Moura, will also see this as an important chance to impress. On the fringes at Paris Saint-Germain, where competition for offensive places is fierce, he will at least want to ensure he’s ahead of Bernard in Scolari’s thoughts.

Brazil (probable): Diego Cavalieri; Daniel Alves, Dedé, David Luiz, Maxwell; Lucas Leiva, Paulinho; Ramires, Neymar, Lucas Moura; Alexandre Pato.

Zambia (probable): Kennedy Mweene; Joseph Musonda, Bronson
Chama, Hichani Himoonde, Emmanuel Mbola; Kondwani Mtonga, Chisamba Lungu, Fwayo Tembo; Emmanuel Mayuka, Jacob Mulenga, Christopher Katongo.
