Juventus will reportedly move for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Thiago Motta in January.

Turin-based sports daily Tuttosport claims the Scudetto-holders are keen to bring the 31 year-old back to Italy.

Motta, who was born in São Bernardo do Campo, but represents Italy at international level, previously spent three and a half seasons in Serie A, firstly with Genoa, then Internazionale.

PS-G took him to France in January 2012, but his time with the Parisians has been marred by injury. In 18 months, he has made just 31 starts.

This season however, Motta has found fitness and form. He’s been recalled to the Italian national team and is a regular starter under new coach Laurent Blanc, at PS-G.

Tuttosport believes he could be secured by Juventus for €5 million, while the former Barcelona player would demand €3 million a season in wages.

Juventus would prefer to move for Motta’s team-mate Marco Verratti, but see the veteran as a cheaper alternative.
