Sevilla’s new signing Diogo Figueiras has reflected that Barcelona full-back Dani Alves is his inspiration and reference point for success.
The Andalucians today presented their latest signing to the media and the 22-year-old Portuguese right-back has aspirations of replicating the former Sevilla man.
He told reporters: “From the start I liked the idea of coming to Sevilla. Playing in Spain was part of my childhood dreams and Sevilla was my first choice.
“For me, Dani Alves is the best right-back in the world and he is my reference. I would like to achieve what he has, I have a lot of ambition.
“I am a full-back with speed, technique and I am very attacking. I can also handle things defensively.
“Here we have very good players and I also like the work of the Coach.
“We will try to do the best we can in the League and in Europe, where we have the chance of playing for a trophy.”
