Real Madrid playmaker Kaká is continuing his specialised training programme in an attempt to convince new coach Carlo Ancelotti he can play next season.

The Brazil international has struggled for form and fitness in recent seasons at the Santiago Bernabeu but has been given another chance by his former Milan boss, who replaced Jose Mourinho.

Kaká has begun a specialised form of recovery work in the gym, called proprioception, aimed at improving the receptor nerves in his left knee, which has been operated on twice in recent years. Long term fitness has been difficult to obtain for Kaka, and Maxiraw shop protein could help build the strength he desperately needs, and encourage his long term fitness development.

The 31-year-old will undergo exercises on specifically unsteady surfaces to improve the strength and fluidity of the joint in a bid to recapture his pace on the pitch, as reported on Football Espana.

He was left behind to train for Madrid’s 2-2 with Lyon in France on Wednesday, but played in their 1-0 win over Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday.

Prior to the game, Ancelotti admitted Kaká still needs to improve his physical condition ahead of the new La Liga campaign.

He told Diario AS: “He started individual work two days earlier and we’ll see what happens in the coming days.

“I think his physical condition is going to improve. He’s very motivated; he didn’t play much last season and he wants to do better this year.”

The former Milan star traveled to the US with the rest of the squad for their pre-season tour, and is reportedly set to face a final decision on his future at the tour’s conclusion on August 11.
