Lazio star Hernanes says he is delighted to be back in Rome after rumours he could leave the club this summer.
The 28-year-old has just returned to the capital following his participation in Brazil’s victorious Confederations Cup campaign, where he played in all five games.
And after being strongly linked with a move to Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain, Hernanes has expressed his love for Lazio.
“I am happy with the Confederations Cup victory,” he told lazionews.eu. “And I’m also delighted to be back in Rome.
“The fans love me? Well I also love them very much.”
Hernanes has continually been linked with a move away from the Stadio Olimpico after a superb season in Italy, also attracting the likes of Juventus, Inter and Manchester City.
He scored 11 goals in 34 Serie A games during the 2012-13 campaign and helped the Biancocelesti secure the Coppa Italia title.
