Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelafi has confirmed that the club are in negotiations to sign Marquinhos from Roma.

The 19-year-old defender is subject to bids from PSG, Barcelona and Manchester United this summer, according to his agent, and Al-Khelafi has confirmed they are in talks to bring him to the Parc des Princes.

“Transfers are not finished for PSG this summer. We will go for another player," he told RMC Sport, as reported on Goal.com.

“Marquinhos and [Lille’s Lucas] Digne? Those are two young players. We are discussing with their clubs right now. We"re just discussing. There is no agreement in place."

Speculation has intensified in recent weeks over where PSG captain Thiago Silva will be plying his trade next season, with Barcelona boss Tito Vilanova confirming that he wants to sign the centre-back.

However, Al-Khelafi has reiterated the 28-year-old will not be sold, while hinting that les Parisiens are also interested in some Barca players.

He added: “Thiago will not leave for Barcelona. He has a four-year contract left.

“He will line up for us against Bordeaux for the Trophee des Champions on August 3. So he will definitely be with us. But we, on the other hand, are following some Barca players."

Brazilian sporting director Leonardo parted company with the French giants on Tuesday and Al-Khelafi added that deputy CEO Jean-Claude Blanc and assistant coach Olivier Letang would preside over future negotiations.

“Who will replace Leonardo? I have a very strong team around me with Letang and Jean-Claude Blanc, who had an important role in Cavani"s arrival," he continued.

“I am proud of the work this great professional has done and he will finish off the transfer period."
