Internacional have insisted that Napoli have not made an offer for star striker Leandro Damião.

The Brazil international has been heavily linked with a move to Europe this summer, with Tottenham and Southampton interested in his services.

Napoli are believed to be leading the chase for his signature though, with some reports suggesting that the striker will fill the void left by PSG-bound Edinson Cavani.

However, the club’s sporting director Luís César Souto de Moura has claimed that Rafa Benitez’s side are yet to make an official bid.

“We have not received any offers for Leandro Damião,” he told reporters, as reported on Football Italia.

“These sorts of situations are handled by our president, but he has told me that there has been nothing.”

The Brazilian club’s president, Giovanni Luigi, has previously stated that if the Partenopei want to sign Damião, they will need to pay at least €25 million.

He told Corriere dello Sport recently:”Our player is worth €25m, not a penny less, and if Napoli want him then he’s going to cost €25m. We’re here and ready to talk.”
