Thiago Silva will stay at Paris Saint-Germain, despite interest from Barcelona, according to his agent Paulo Tonietto.
The highly-rated former Fluminense defender left Milan to join Paris Saint-Germain last year for a fee estimated in 42 million Euros, he signed a five-year deal with the French club.
Barcelona are strongly interested in the defender, after they failed to sign him in 2012, when he joined his current club.
But his agent Paulo Tonietto does not expect the defender to move again, he told PSG’s official site: “Thiago Silva is a Paris Saint-Germain player, he is under contract and he will honor that.
“Rumors are rife, as they were last year, but he is a Paris Saint-Germain player and he will see out his contract.”
