Corinthians left-back Gustavo Nery has received a call up from the CBF for next Wednesday’s game against Croatia.
Nery replaces Hertha Berlin defender Gilberto, injured during the last match against Eintracht Frankfort, on Saturday in the second round of the Bundesliga.
The former Flamengo and Grêmiod defender, was victorious in the Confederations Cup last June, will be out for at least 3 weeks.
Gustavo Sá da Nery, 28 years, first appeared for the Selection in Brazil’s victory with Brazil in the Copa América in 2004 in Peru. Since the final against Argentina, he has not appeared with the Seleção.
