Internacional took on Criciuma in Thursday’s only Brasileirão clash at the Estádio Beira-Rio with the hosts running out 2-0 winners.

The game was won in the first 15 minutes as Inter blitzed the Criciuma defence with the first goal coming from midfielder Willians who stroked a long-range effort into the bottom corner.

Rodrigo Moledo then sealed the victory with a close-range header from Andres D’Alessandro’s corner.

The rest of the game passed without much incident as Inter strolled to a comfortable win which sends them to fourth in the league table

The win was Internacional’s first of the season after drawing 2-2 to Vitoria on the opening day and puts them within two points of early leaders São Paulo.
