Santos star Neymar has decided to join Barcelona, according to his father Neymar da Silva Santos suggested in an interview in Brazilian press.
His father talked to Brazilian sports news site Globo Esporte about the reasons why his son made that decision.
Neymar da Silva Santos said: Neymar has made a decision. He is already telling their friends about it. He listened to his heart. He chose the team that fits his style best.”
“Did he choose Barça? I won’t say anything now, he wants to announce it to Santos’ fans, he owes them, so the announcement should be made tomorrow indeed.”
Neymar’s father also confirmed that his son will play against Flamengo on Sunday, he said: “He thinks the moment to go to European football has come, but I am sure he will have a good game against Flamengo.”
Brazilian cable TV site Sportv claims that there were six offers for Neymar, and that the highest one was from Chelsea.
