Botafogo’s Dutch star Clarence Seedorf has affirmed that he plans to see out his contract with the club.
He has been linked with a move to AC Milan, to become the team’s next manager following the team’s third place in the Italian league.
Seedorf is under contract with Botafogo until next year, and he plans to remain there, he told reporters: “I am adapted. Rio de Janeiro has always been in my heart and I have always felt affection for Brazil.”
“It’s a great joy to have success here, and have good experience with other people here.”
He added: “Brazil is the Mecca of football, it’s very special to live here and play in the country. It’s a very enriching situation. I intend to see out my contract”
Seedorf completed: “The Brazilian League is very hard, all games are tough. I believe that with our work we can fight for the title, but we are not favorites.”
