Dani Alves has issued a rallying cry ahead of Barcelona’s Champions League clash by declaring that “impossible is nothing”.

Barcelona need to overturn a four goal deficit at the Camp Nou in order to reach the Champions League final, and Alves believes anything is possible.

“‘Impossible’ is just a word that weak men use to live easily in the world they were given, not daring to explore the power they have to change it,” he said via his personal Twitter account.

“‘Impossible’ is not a fact, it is an opinion. ‘Impossible’ is not a declaration, it is a challenge. ‘Impossible’ is potential. ‘Impossible’ is temporary. ‘Impossible’ is nothing!”

The winners of tonight’s game will face Borussia Dortmund in the final, after the Germans held off the advances of Real Madrid on Tuesday.

Despite goals from Karim Benzema and Sergio Ramos, Jose Mourinho failed in his latest bid to secure a third Champions League medal as coach.
