Corinthians" midfielder Paulinho believes his team are more confident to beat Boca following the win in last year"s final against the Argentine team.
The current world champions face Boca on Wednesday at the famous La Bombonera stadium for the first leg of the Libertadores Round of 16.
Paulinho talked to reporters in Buenos Aires, he said: Of course we are very confident, due to the title we won last year, how we played here against Boca. We know it"s a different situation, but the preparation is the same and we know it will be more difficult."
“We focused a lot last year, we knew it would be hard to play here [in Buenos Aires], everyone that plays against Boca knows it is hard. We have to play the same way, nark Boca tightly and not waste the chances we have as an away goal is important."
He denied that Corinthians are the favorites, he said: “We are not the favorites, but our form is better than Boca"s but the respect remains the same."
“We have to pay even more attention given Boca"s poor form, if we are too slow, they can surprise us. They will be more motivated to beat us because of their bad form."
