Brazil"s national team manager Luiz Felipe Scolari has admitted that the Seleção need to improve, following the 2-2 draw with Chile.
The poor performance has increased pressure on Scolari and on the national team as the fans booed off the players
Scolari told reporters after the game: “We didn"t play well, if we had played better, fans would have reacted differently."
“We didn"t have as many chances as in the other game [against Bolivia] and we let Chile feel too comfortable. It"s normal the fans react that way as we didn"t bring them to our side. I have nothing to criticize, when we play well, they will probably have a different reaction."
The Brazilian national team manager blamed the lack of time to train for Brazil"s poor performance, he said: “Our team meet on Monday, train on Tuesday and play on Wednesday."
“There is no empathy with the fans because there is no empathy with the team either. We"ll be in better conditions when we are training for the Confederations Cup. We still need to improve and we understand the fans reaction."
Scolari was asked by a reporter if he will quit if Brazil fail to go far in the Confederations Cup, he said: “No comments, this is a joke."
