Rafael and Anderson are now Premier League winners after Manchester United sealed the title with a 3-0 rout of relegation battlers Aston Villa.

Robin van Persie netted a superb first-half hat-trick to give the Red Devils the three points and puts the Dutchman at the top of the goalscoring charts with 24 goals for the season.

Rafael played at right-back in his 25th start of the season, as he looks to end the campaign as Sir Alex Ferguson’s first choice full-back.

Anderson meanwhile barely featured this season as rumours mount up over a summer departure but the Brazilian will receive a medal as he has made the required number of appearances.

The rout began just ninety seconds into the game as Van Persie turned Ryan Gigg’s assist into the net from Rafael’s orginal cross.

The Dutchman then scored one of his finest efforts as he volleyed Wayne Rooney’s crossfield ball into the bottom corner from 20 yards.

Giggs then squared for Van Persie after being put through on goal for the striker to round the goalkeeper and lash into the net to complete his hat-trick and seal the victory.
