Brazil international right-back Rafinha scored on Saturday as Bayern Munich sent out a majority reserve side to take on Nuremburg in the Bundesliga.

Having been in action in Europe on Wednesday night, manager Jupp Heynckes opted to rest the majority of his star turns but saw his side cruise to a comfortable 4-0 victory.

Bayern had already shot to a 2-0 lead by the time that the full-back added his contribution, thanks to goals from Jerome Boateng and Mario Gomez.

Rafinha’s effort, though, came after just 20 minutes, as Claudio Pizarro made a fine run through the defence before laying the ball on a plate for his South American colleague.

Later, in the second period, Xherdan Shaqiri added the icing on the cake with a fourth goal that continues the side’s canter towards the 2012-13 Bundesliga title.
