Chelsea"s David Luiz claims he is not worried by the impending fixture pile-up ahead of them with the prospect of playing four games in nine days looming.

The Brazilian is insistent that the squad are prepared for the run of four games and says he wants to play in them all.

Luiz said: "I love to play games, I prefer to play games than training for sure. I want to play both games against Southampton and Manchester United and I want to win both matches.

“All the games are important to us – you know that at Chelsea. Southampton away is a difficult game, we need to win and after that we have a big derby in the FA Cup. Last year we won the competition so it is also important."

Chelsea could have avoided the replay against Manchester United if they had taken their chances in the closing stages at Old Trafford having fought back from 2-0 down.

Luiz admits Chelsea should not have given United a second chance to stay in the competition, but is adamant they will succeed next Monday.

"Yes. I was a little bit unhappy. People saw the match and in the second half Chelsea controlled all the game and we had the opportunities to win. I felt a little bit sad but now we have another game to win.

“We have an opportunity [to beat them] on Monday. When you do well on the pitch this gives you a lot of confidence."
