Chelsea midfielder Oscar has spoken of his delight at the recent returns of Kaká and Ronaldinho to the Brazil squad, insisting the experienced duo are “an inspiration” to the younger players.

Oscar, 21, has become an important player for the Seleção over the past twelve months but concedes that the squad benefits from the additional experience that the duo can offer.

With the Chelsea player still learning his trade as he finds his feet in the Premier League, he spoke of his desire to emulate the two former World Player of the Years.

“The older players are an inspiration to the younger ones,” Oscar told Chelsea’s official website. “I have to include Kaka, who was not called into the last squad, alongside Ronaldinho, as players who all those of my generation look to.

“They made history for my generation, and are the players we try to emulate. To have them back involved is better because they can help with their experience. They have so much to offer and bring a lot of respect. I’m really happy they are back.”
