Manchester City target Marquinhos has made it clear that he has no intention of leaving Roma any time soon as he is happy with life at his current club.
The 18-year-old defender has become an important player at the Serie A side club since arriving from Corinthians in the summer of 2012.
Marquinhos has been linked with a number of top European clubs in recent months, such as City and Real Madrid, but has now made it clear he is happy to stay with the Giallorossi for now.
“Everything is happening very fast at the moment. I try not to look too far ahead,” the centre-back told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“The interest from a number of important clubs? I am not thinking about a transfer. I owe Roma a lot for the chance they gave me.”
Marquinhos, who has made four starts this term, has a contract with the Stadio Olimpico outfit until the summer of 2017.
