Internacional coach Dunga has lamented his side’s performance in the 1-1 draw with Cruzeiro-RS on Sunday, criticising the lack of attention and number of unforced errors.

Dunga, who took over as coach of the club he played for in January, felt his team, who had already guaranteed qualification to the next round, lacked the needed attention to see the game out but also felt the hot conditions had an effect on his player’s, especially after playing in on a soggy pitch against Caxias on Wednesday.

“We were well below our level, mainly in keeping the ball and passing. We missed a lot of chances and leave with just a draw in the end,” he told reporters after the game.

“It was a decisive game. Our attention fell slightly. There are several factors that can lead to this, the actual wear of the previous game. Played in rain on Wednesday and now with strong heat. We had the advantage and took a goal by playing good football.”

Inter will now face rivals Grêmio in the quarter-final of the Gaúchão on Sunday, the game will be played in Caxias do Sul due to the renovation of Internacional’s Beira-Rio stadium.
