Internacional coach Dunga believes that striker Leandro Damião has improved as a player since last season.

Damião, 23, who has been linked with a move away from Brazil, with Tottenham and Napoli interested, has improved his game during the off-season according to Dunga, after the new Inter coach paid special attention to the striker.

“He was not coming out of his position. What happens is that he moves more, is more flexible. Last year, the team played according to Damião, crossing the ball and he was in the middle of three defenders,” Dunga told Lancenet!

“Today he manages to find spaces. He had already made a good start earlier (before the Pelotas). But forward live to score, and that is anxiety. Today, he succeeded. And has grown with us.”

Damião was close to leaving Internacional last month when Tottenham had a last minute bid rejected, however he is now expected to leave in the summer and recently stated that Serie A might be his preferred destination.
