Arsenal are reported to be lining up a move for Barcelona right back Dani Alves if Bacary Sagna decides to leave Emirates Stadium this summer.

Sagna, 29, has just one year left on his contract and is believed to have refused the new deal put forward by the club, which is said to be a one-year extension on the same amount of money.

The French international has long been linked to Italian giants Inter and Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be showing an interest.

Alves has been a key part of Barcelona’s success over the past few years but new coach Tito Vilanova seems to be losing faith with the Brazilian this season after a number of poor performances and could be willing to part with the former Sevilla star in the summer.

Arsenal do have a replacement for Sagna at the club already, in the shape of Carl Jenkinson, but the former Charlton player is still quite raw and Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger would like to add an experienced player to go straight into the starting eleven.
