Inter Milan have reportedly raised Philippe Coutinho’s asking-price from €8million to €15million after they rejected a bid from Liverpool.
The Nerazzurri turned down the Premier League club’s offer last week, which is believed to have been £6.7million.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the San Siro outfit have now upped the minimum fee they will accept for the 20-year-old by €7million.
Countinho started his career at Vasco da Gama but moved to the Italian giants in 2010 and immediately broke into, then coach, Rafa Benitez’s team, with the Spaniard claiming that “Coutinho is the future of Inter”.
However, a dip in form and the sacking of Benitez caused for the Brazilian to drop out of the starting line-up, leading to a loan move to Espanyol for the second half of last season.
Coutinho scored 5 goals in 16 games for the Spanish side, while attracting the attention of a number of European clubs.
