Former Vasco da Gama midfielder Felipe has revealed his pleasure at returning to Fluminense for his second spell at the club.

Felipe, 35, spent one season with the current Brasileirão champions in 2005 after leaving rivals Flamengo and is delighted to get the chance again with the Tricolor.

“For me it is a pleasure to play again at Fluminense,” he told Globo Esporte.

“I appreciate the opportunity that the club is giving me. It is very pleasurable to join a great squad like this, state champion and Brazilian champion.

“I came to help. If I’m going to play 15, 20 or 30 minutes, it depends on Abel. I’m more of a warrior ready to help power of Flu in this Libertadores.”

And the veteran believes he will have no problems settling into the Fluminense side, saying it is easier to play with great players.

“Why I will not have any problems? I already had a chat with the guys before training, got up early. Playing with stars is even easier.

“I played alongside Romario and Edmundo without any problem. There will not be any now. Hopefully I can grab this unique opportunity that I’m having in my career.”
