Robinho is back in the AC Milan squad as they prepare to face Sampdoria this evening but is “unlikely to play”, according to Massimiliano Allegri.

The Brazilian striker only returned to full training with the Rossoneri squad on Friday after very nearly leaving the San Siro for Brazil.

Robinho had offers from the likes of Santos and Grêmio in his homeland, however, the 28-year-old is remaining in Italy after an agreement failed to be reached with a suitable party.

He is now back in training but coach Massimiliano Allegri warned in his press conference that it would be “difficult” and “unlikely” for Robinho to feature on Sunday night.

Seventh-placed Milan travel to the Marassi stadium with hopes of taking three points from the Serie A clash, following their disappointing Copa Italia quarter-final defeat to Juventus on Wednesday.
