PSG’s Salvatore Sirigu has hailed the arrival of new signing Lucas Moura and says that he will be vital to their push for Champions League glory.

The goalkeeper spoke of his admiration of the Brazil starlet, who has just arrived in Qatar for the club’s training camp.

“He will certainly be a very important player for the present and for the future because he is very young,” Sirigu told reporters in Doha on Sunday evening.

“He will definitely help us in the league and for the knock-out stage of the Champions League.”

Lucas signed for the club on a four and a half year contract which runs to 2017, after turning down the likes of Manchester United.

The deal will earn former club São Paulo an estimated €42m and Lucas is set to line up alongside the likes of national teammate Thiago Silva and inform striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
