AC Milan Vice President Adriano Galliani has revealed the Rossoneri have no intentions to sell Robinho or Alexandre Pato in January.

Milan want to reduce the size of their squad during the next transfer window and both Brazilians are rumoured to be on their way out of the San Siro door.

Robinho is again being linked with former club Santos, while Pato recently cast doubt over his future by insisting he wanted to play more often, but Galliani insists the club do not plan to sell either player.

He said: “Santos may be interested in Robinho, but it is not our intention to sell.

“There are no offers for any of our players at this point in time. I think that Pato is on the mend and everything has been cleared up with his agent.

“There are 32 players in the squad and if nobody leaves then nobody will come in. We’ll have to sell first and then buy, otherwise we’ll stay as we are.”

Italian sports newspaper Il Corriere dello Sport recently reported that both Pato and Robinho could be sold in order to fund a bid for Manchester City star Mario Balotelli.

Galliani was again, inevitably, asked about a possible bid for the former Inter striker.

He added: “Balotelli? It’s a sentimental matter, but enough of this.

“We’d have to get down to 26-27 players for him to arrive because there really are too many of us.

“If five don’t go, there will be no new signings.”
