Gilmar Veloz, the agent of AC Milan star Alexandre Pato, has denied that the player is unhappy in Milan and looking to leave the club.

Last week Pato, 23, revealed he was unhappy and looking for a move away from the club in the January transfer window. However, on Wednesday, Veloz denied this and ruled out the possibility of the player leaving San Siro on-loan.

The former Internacional striker has struggled for fitness and form over the past 12 months, but the news that the Brazilian maybe looking to leave Milan quickly sparked interest in a number of clubs, including Chelsea and Manchester City in England, and Corinthians back in his homeland.

However, Veloz was keen to play down these rumours.

“Pato is doing well in Europe, he doesn’t need to return to Brazil,” Veloz told O Tempo.

“He has 18 months left on his contract; it’s unthinkable that an expensive player like him would be loaned out.”

And the agent went on to say that until there is an offer on the table for the player, there is nothing to talk about.

“I can’t talk about something that doesn’t exist. Nothing about that came to me.

“When there is something concrete, we can talk. But right now, he is happy at Milan.”
