Ganso has stated he is ready to play ninety minutes for São Paulo ahead of his confirmed debut against Náutico on Sunday.

The 23-year-old has been recovering from a thigh injury for the past two months and is yet to make his debut since joining the club from Santos.

He said: “I feel fine, my physical condition is excellent. The work done by doctors and physical therapists was wonderful.

“Tomorrow [Thursday], we will play a practice match which will be very important to start gaining pace.

“The game against Náutico is even more important because we can make the Libertadores qualifiers. Let"s work for it."

The Seleção star has reiterated his delight at joining São Paulo, after leaving cross-city rivals Santos due to a contract dispute, and praised the club’s facilities.

Ganso added: “I will start a new phase in my life against Nautical and I want to make history.

“I think I came to the club that has a profile. São Paulo was the first to launch something like Reffis, a quality training center, and it helps any athlete. I needed a structure like this to help me."

The Tricolor Paulista could confirm fourth place and Copa Libertadores qualification with a win at the Morumbi on Sunday.
