Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Júlio César believes former club Inter Milan are Juventus" only rivals in the hunt for the Serie A title this season.

The Nerazzurri currently occupy second place in the league, just four points behind the reigning champions Juve at the summit.

The two leading sides will face off in the Derby d"Italia this evening, and the Brazilian goalkeeper, who left Inter for QPR this summer, insists his former club must approach the match with no fear.

He said: “Juve must be attacked. Why shouldn"t they?

“Inter seem to be their most serious rivals, perhaps the only one. Even more so than Napoli, who cannot find the same consistency as Inter."

Júlio César, who has made an impressive start to life in the Premier League despite his club being bottom, also spoke about his memories of the derby game.

“It is more than just a game. I won"t forget Maicon"s goal in the 2-0 win [over Juventus] in 2010 and the yellow shirt I wore that day," he added.

“[Jose] Mourinho explained to me that a colourful jersey poses more difficulties for opposing forwards."

This evening’s game at the Juventus Stadium kicks off at 7:45pm, and Júlio César will be in action for QPR when they take on Reading tomorrow.
