Vasco da Gama volante Fellipe Bastos has admitted that qualification for the Copa Libertadores next year will be a difficult task for Vasco. The midfielder spoke of his frustration at the defeat to Botafogo, last Thursday, but believes they still have an outside chance of qualifying for the competition.
He said: “It will be complicated. Complicated because of out situation within league table. We, went into the game with Botafogo with great expectation for victory. We played a wonderful first half but then er went backwards and tried to hold the game and let 2 soft goals in. But we believe and we get this job done.”
Bastos, 22, is determined to put the Botafogo result right when Vaso face Internacional on Wednesday and believes his team owe it to the Vasco supporters.
“I think, on the pitch, we must show that we can wear the shirt of Vasco, give joy to them with wins and good performances.”
