Luiz, 25, blasted in a free kick from 30 yards which left the keeper rooted to the spot as it went in off the near post.

Luiz’s Brazilian teammates also contributed to the victory as Oscar set up Ramires for a simple tap in after good work by Fernando Torres in the dying stages to make it 4-0 for the London side.

Chelsea started the game well and eventually led through Juan Mata after the half hour mark and could have been 2-0 up when Torres’ effort was disallowed for offside after turning in Branislav Ivanovic’s long range shot.

The hosts came out fighting in the second half and created several clear chances. The first coming after a perfectly weighted cross by centre back Okore was headed wide by Beckmann.

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech then brilliantly denied Joshua John by palming his curling effort onto the post after the winger cut in from the sideline.

But David Luiz then extended the away side’s lead before Mata doubled his tally for the evening slotting past the keeper after poor defending from the Danish side.

Ramires and Oscar then combined to provide the perfect finish to a convincing victory.
