Brazil youngster Oscar believes his move to English giants Chelsea could be ‘crucial" to his development.

Oscar, 21, signed for Chelsea in a £25m move from Internacional in July as he impressed for Brazil at the London 2012 Olympics.

As pressure mounts up for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, Oscar was only too aware of the effects it could have on an inexperienced squad.

The Chelsea starlet told Lancenet!: “This time in Europe will be crucial to my growth. Brazil have many new players and they need to know how to deal with the pressure of a home World Cup.

“It"s a difficult situation [for Mano Menezes], since the pressure is always on him. I think that the group are calm and don"t feel the pressure.

“That we are only playing friendlies hinders our preparation. We are always trying our best to arrive at the Confederations Cup in form."

Oscar recently impressed pundits and fans with a superb performance on his Champions League debut against Italian giants Juventus, scoring two goals including a stunning effort from 25 yards.

The midfielder is set to be back in Champions League action this week as Chelsea take on FC Nordsjaelland tomorrow night.
