Barcelona defender Dani Alves has revealed that Parisien giants PSG made an approach for his signature this summer, but were put off by his high price-tag.
Dani Alves, 29, admitted earlier this summer that he was disappointed that Barcelona had not spoken out to refute rumours of a summer exit, but there had never been confirmation of an approach.
On Tuesday, though, the Brazilian confirmed to French radio that the Qatari businessman who run the Ligue 1 side had, indeed, made contact with his advisors during the transfer window.
“It is true that PSG has called many people and built a beautiful project," Alves told Radio RMC.
“This summer, they spoke to my representatives and consulted to see if they could do a transfer.
“But the possibility was very low because my price was very high and suddenly they turned to other players.
“As to whether I could play in Paris, you never know what the future holds, and I don"t have to close doors. If one day, Barca do not want me anymore [then who knows]."
