Lucas Moura has reiterated his desire to help São Paulo qualify for the Copa Libertadores before joining Paris Saint-Germain in January.
The 20-year-old will head to the Parc des Princes in just over three months, after PSG agreed a fee worth €45million (£35.5m) with the Tricolor Paulista earlier this summer.
Lucas has repeatedly stressed his desire to win the competition with São Paulo, which is one of the most prestigious in South American football, but following the announcement of his transfer, he has felt a responsibility to at least help them qualify.
He said: “Every time I go on the field, I represent São Paulo and Brazil and give the best of myself. I do not like losing, and I always want to win.
“When the transfer had been confirmed, I felt I had a greater responsibility in relation to making the most of being here.
“I’ve always said before leaving São Paulo, I want to win the Copa Libertadores.”
The Seleção international, who helped Brazil win silver at the London Olympics, also spoke of his excitement ahead of his move to Europe.
Lucas added: “This is a tremendous opportunity to grow as a player and as a person.
“This is the kind of place I’d like to live, and I am very excited to know whether I can be at the same level as players like Ibrahimovic, Thiago Silva, Van der Wiel, or Lavezzi.”
São Paulo, who face Coritiba in five days time, are currently fifth in the Brasileirão, with the top four qualifying for the Copa Libertadores come the end of the season.
