Scotland Yard have revealed that Arsenal defender André Santos has been charged with dangerous driving.
The 29-year-old left-back, who has been capped 22 times by Brazil, is alleged to have been driving at around 130mph before being arrested on August 17.
A Scotland Yard spokeswoman said: ”André Santos, 29, of East Finchley, north London, has been charged with dangerous driving and driving without due care and attention on August 17th this year in Mill Hill, north west London”
Santos is expected to appear at Hendon Magistrates’ Court on 27 September, and could be jailed for up to two years if his case goes to Crown Court and he is convicted.
