Galatasaray coach Faith Terim has admitted that he is interested in signing Real Madrid playmaker Kaká.

The 30-year-old, who was previously linked with a return to AC Milan, has been informed by Madrid boss Jose Mourinho that he is unlikely to get regular first-team football under his command this season.

Kaká admitted after the summer transfer window had closed that the only reason why he did not leave Real Madrid was because he received no official offers.

However, Terim has now admitted that the Brazilian is a transfer target for Galatasaray.

”I’ve thought about Kaká. He’s a footballer who’ll always interest me because he’s such a great player. He’d be a perfect player for Galatasaray and that’s exactly what I’ve told my president, who agrees with me,” the former Turkey coach said.

Terim, though, acknowledges that Kaká would need to lower his wage demands in order for the deal to happen.

”He has a hefty contract. He’ll have the final word,” the 59-year-old said.

Galatasaray would only be able to sign Kaká on a permanent contract in January as the Turkish transfer window closed last Wednesday.
