Inter Milan coach Andrea Stramaccioni still does not know if Maicon will remain at the club by the time the transfer window shuts on Friday evening.

The 31-year-old right-back is continually being linked with a move away from the San Siro, with his agent recently claiming that his client has attracted interest from the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester City and Chelsea.

Stramaccioni opted to leave Maicon out of Inter’s squad which beat Pescara 3-0 on Sunday, but the young Italian trainer would be pleased to see the Brazilian play out the final year of his contract with the Nerazzuri this season.

”If he stays, I’ll be happy, but it’s an individual thing,” Stramaccioni told reports. ”He’s coming to the end of his contract.

”Inter and Maicon have a wonderful relationship and it’s not about what he’s worth. Let’s see how things develop.”
