Inter Milan attacking midfielder Philippe Coutinho says the club are aiming to win back the Serie A title this campaign following their impressive 3-0 win over Pescara on Sunday.
After finishing a disappointing sixth place last season, the Nerazzuri have spent the summer remoulding their squad, bringing in the likes of Antonio Cassano and Alvaro Pereira, whilst offloading some high profile players such as Diego Forlan and Lúcio.
”Our objective is to win the Scudetto and we want to improve game after game in order to achieve this objective,” Coutinho told Sky Sport Italia.
The 20-year-old Brazilian also insists that his chances of playing regular football at Inter this season have not been affected by the arrival of Cassano, who he replaced in the second half against Pescara.
”Nothing has changed for me with Cassano here,” Coutinho added. ”He is a champion, like a lot of the players at this club.
”I’m just looking to do the best I can and to keep improving.”
