Fluminense have reportedly accepted a bid worth around €3.5 million from Roma for Marquinho.
The 25-year-old has spent the last six months on loan at the Stadio Olimpico, and the Italian club’s deadline for taking up their option to purchase the midfielder on a permanent deal expired on Tuesday.
Roma had originally agreed to sign Marquinho for €4.5 million, but it is believed that the Serie A side no longer have the financial resources to pay that fee.
Instead, the Giallorossi reportedly submitted a €2.5 million bid to Fluminense for the midfielder on Monday, but the Rio de Janeiro outfit immediately rejected that proposal.
However, according to Sky Italia, the two clubs managed to agree a €3.5 million fee on Tuesday.
