Former Brazil captain and coach Dunga has waded into the debate on the future of Neymar, stating that he believes the forward needs to move to Europe in order to improve as a player.

The 20-year-old prodigy has long been linked with Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona, but has repeatedly stated his commitment to his current club Santos.

However, Dunga believes Neymar would be able to fulfil his potential by playing European football.

”Neymar is a good player, the best in South America and Brazil,” the 48-year-old told Goal.com. ”Playing in Europe is always tougher. They mark you so much closer. I think that a player always needs to go to Europe to have that experience and get better.”
