Deco has reiterated his desire to end his playing career at his current club Fluminense.

The 34-year-old’s contract with the Tricolor expires this December, but the midfielder is keen to extend his deal with the Rio de Janeiro giants until the end of next year.

”I have already said that I want to end my career at Fluminense,” Deco told Globoesporte. ”My desire is stay and play for the club for another year, and then after I will call time on my career.”

The former Portugal international went on to admit that if Fluminense do not end up offering him a new deal then he would be willing to play for another club for one season.

”If Fluminense want me to stay, I will, but if not, I will play at another club for a year and then stop,” he said.
