Ramires, 25, missed the final through suspension, but was able to claim a thoroughly deserved winners medal as his side emerged victorious from a penalty shootout in the Allianz Arena.
Ramires told ESPN Brazil: ”I always said that Chelsea deserved to be respected. We managed to be strong in the Champions League.
”Chelsea deserves respect and today we pulled the strength to turn things around. Now I just need a World Cup to finish my career well.
