The former Lyon striker limped off in the second-half of Fluminense’s 2-0 defeat against Boca Juniors last week, and despite being able to train in recent days, the clubs medical department have deemed him to be unfit.

Rafael Moura is expected to lead the line in Wednesday’s Group 4 match against the Argentinian side after netting twice in Flu’s 5-1 win over Olaria on Sunday.

Fluminense’s 19-man squad that have travelled to Buenos Aires:
