The 23-year-old forward started his professional career with the Coxa, before joining Palmeiras in January 2009 and then signing for Barça six months later in a deal worth €14 million.

Keirrison has never made a single appearance for the Catalan outfit, spending the last two-and-a-half years out on loan at four different clubs (Benfica, Fiorentina, Santos and Cruzeiro).

However speaking to reporters on Thursday, the Brazilian insisted that he’s determined to kick-start his career with Coritiba.

“I believe the best of me is yet to come. I’ve had this thought in my head since last year,” he said.

“I’m very happy to be back, from the bottom of my heart. I’m dreaming of pulling on the Coritiba shirt again and seeing the fans. This is priceless.”

During Keirrison’s previous three-year spell at Coritiba – between 2006 and 2009 – he scored a total of 65 goals in 112 appearances.
