The 32-year-old, who was sent out on loan to Atlético Paranaenese last season, marked his comeback with a goal against the Rubro Negro’s historical rivals, Fluminense, in Sunday’s 2-0 win.
”It’s was great to be back. I’m glad it happened. I’ve worked very hard. It was really cool to have returned,” Kléberson told Lance.
”Even before the game I didn’t know I would be starting. Joel trusts me and knows my potential.”
Flamengo coach Joel Santanta was also pleased with the midfielder’s return, praising his work ethic. He said:
”He’s a player that I like. He does very well for the group, he’s dedicated and works hard.”
